-Feminist ideals and beliefs focus on what culture is like for women as compared to what the world is like for men. The feminist assumption is that women are not treated equally to men and as a result, women are disadvantaged in comparison to men.

-Feminism has a long history and can, arguably, be traced back to the 15th century (Kelly, 1982), and women's resistance tosubordination certainly predates the emergence of feminism as a fully articulated ideology and practice (Rowbotham, 1972).The roots of modern feminist thought are conventionally traced back to the late 18th century and to the works of MaryWollstonecraft.

-Feminism, a belief in the political, economic and cultural equality of women, has roots in the earliest eras of human civilization. It is typically separated into three waves: first wave feminism, dealing with property rights and the right to vote; second wave feminism, focusing on equality and anti-discrimination, and third wave feminism, which started in the 1990s as a backlash to the second wave’s perceived privileging of white, straight women.

-Feminist theory now aims to interrogate inequalities and inequities along the intersectional lines of ability, class, gender, race, sex, and sexuality, and feminists seek to effect change in areas where these intersectionalities create power inequity.

My three search engines were google, yahoo and aol, I'm familiar with all of these search engines. My topic was Feminism, all three had similar results like wikipedia, britannica sites and etc. Most of the search engine had more history sites on them than the other ones. Most were dedicated to knowing the meaning of Feminism and protests towards feminism. This topic was very interesting as well. What type of other Search Engines did you use?
